BEFORE MAKING HEADLINES WITH BANS AND PRESS CONFERENCES, FIRST ADDRESS YOUR WORKERS’ PENDING DUES, DISPUTES, AND SERIOUS UNRESOLVED MATTERS WITHIN YOUR OWN SYSTEM.

My point is this whole conference honestly has neither a head nor a tail. It doesn’t make sense. Farhan Akhtar was publicly approached through Instagram and probably even through personal connections…through Deepika, mutual friends, actor circles, Bollywood groups, and many other channels. But when nothing worked, they suddenly reached FWICE, sat with them, held a conference, and made all these statements. What exactly is the point of this?

I’m also part of FWICE, I’m also a member of IMPPA, and I’m also connected with IFTDA. But this statement that has been released has absolutely no meaning. You’ve simply gone after one individual. What exactly is his mistake? He isn’t even reacting or saying anything publicly. Just because someone is silent doesn’t mean he can’t speak or can’t take action.

And when people talk about FWICE what is FWICE? It’s a mother body, an association, a tag. I know many people there personally, and I’m speaking generally. There are so many pending cases and files already sitting there. Solve those first. I know assistant directors whose payments are still stuck with productions. I know editors who completed work years ago and still haven’t received money. Help your own members first.

If you ask your own HR or look within your own system, you’ll find countless unresolved applications and issues. Yet you’re making public declarations that directors and producers won’t work with someone. The reality is many members are probably thinking: “First solve our issues.”

You announced a ban but honestly, your bans haven’t changed much before either. Whether it was artists like Daljit Dosanjh or others who faced allegations, their albums still released, films still came out, and work continued. Nothing really stopped.

I’m also part of these organisations, and I stopped renewing subscriptions years ago because I kept asking: what are members actually getting in return except a card with one-year validity? No regular masterclasses, no major initiatives, no real support. For years we’ve heard promises of setups, systems, benefits and opportunities but very little has actually materialised.

So before holding big meetings and creating headlines, first look inward and resolve your own pending issues. Because similar things have happened before and very little changed.

And one more thing people may or may not know Ashok Pandit Ji is a strong BJP supporter. At the same time, the Dhurandhar team and its ecosystem are believed to have strong support and connections BJP [central government] too. If people at that level become involved, situations can change overnight. That’s why I personally don’t think these notices or announcements are going to change much. The film will continue, work will continue, and people sitting with cameras taking media bites won’t necessarily change the outcome.
