DHARMAVEER 2’ (MARATHI) REVIEW

ree

The film Dharmaveer 2 (Marathi; UA), which was produced by Zee Studios and Saahil Motion Arts, is a sequel to the film Dharmaveer (Marathi) (2022). The story of social worker Anand Dighe and how politician Eknath Shinde, who is also a member of the Legislative Assembly, lives his ideals and assists the less fortunate is continued in this book.

Pravin Vitthal Tarde has penned a piece of writing that seems to be too propagandistic in its subject matter. In spite of the fact that the narrative is attempting to demonstrate how Anand Dighe has been a messiah for the underprivileged, it really portrays Eknath Shinde in a positive light. As the story progresses along a single path, Pravin Vitthal Tarde's script is lengthy and starts to get tedious at some points. The fact that the substance is only an extension of the first part (Dharmaveer) is another reason why the drama fails to satisfy the viewers' expectations. The conversations written by Pravin Vitthal Tarde are engaging.

Prasad Oak is great in his role as Anand Dighe. Performing well in the role of MLA Eknath Shinde is Kshitish Date. It's OK to have Vijay Nikam play Moda. In his role as the police hawaldar, Jayant Wadkar is average. As Mahesh Shinde, Sameer Dharmadhikari is a pleasant person. Anand Ingle (as Shahji Bapu), Hrishikesh Joshi (as Daynadha Choughule), Sunil Tawde (as Bharat Gogawale), Suresh Vishwakarma (as Sanjay Shirsat), Vijay Kadam (as Anil Babar), Rajesh Bhosle (as Balaji Kinikar), Abhijit Khandekar (as Dada Bhuse), Kamlakar Satpute (as Abdul Sattar), Ajay Jadhav (as Tanaji Sawant), Suhas Lakhan (as Ravindra Phatak), Sunil Barve (as Devendra Fadnavis), Sachin Narkar (as Pratap Sarnaik), Mangesh Salvi (as Mahendra Thorve), Abhijit Thite (as Shumbhraj Desai), Akshay Joshi (as Sachin Joshi), Mangesh Desai (as a journalist), Ajay Jadhav (as Sanjay Gaikwad), Uday Sabnis, Snehal Tarde, Pravin Tarde and the others lend decent support.

On the whole, Pravin Vitthal Tarde's directing is about par for the course. On the other hand, he has not been successful in making the drama so captivating that the audience would adore it. The music, which was composed by Avinash-Vishwajeet and Chinar-Mahesh, is good; yet, the lack of popular songs is profoundly felt. Mangesh Kangane, Vishwajeet Joshi, Dr. Prasad Biware, and Snehal Tarde are responsible for the lyrics, which are satisfactory. Umesh Jadhav's choreography is quite unremarkable. The music in the background is adequate. The camerawork that Mahesh Limaye does is quite impressive. The action and stunt sequences that Pradyumna Kumar Swain does do not provide a great deal of excitement. However, the art direction that Nitesh Nandgaonkar has done is little to brag about. There is a certain amount of room for improvement in Mayur Hardas' editing.

In general, it is quite unlikely that Dharmaveer 2 will achieve the same level of success as the previous installment. Furthermore, it will not even be able to do ordinary business.
