FILM REVIEW: ZERO SE RESTART (Hindi)

ree

Red Ribbon Entertainment’s Zero Se Restart (U/A; drama with social undertones) deals with human resilience, personal redemption, and the challenges of restarting life after hitting rock bottom.

The story follows a man who, after failing in career and relationships, decides to rebuild himself against all odds. The theme is universally relatable, but the screenplay feels amateurish. The progression from failure to success is rushed, predictable, and devoid of real drama.

Dialogues are simplistic, occasionally motivational, but too often turn into preachy monologues that sound more like seminar speeches than cinematic lines.

Performances are below par. The lead actor tries earnestly but lacks charisma to carry the film. Supporting cast is weak, with little screen presence or impact.

Direction is ineffective. The film feels like a stitched-together motivational video rather than a full-fledged feature. Scenes are staged, pacing uneven, and emotions forced.

Music is ordinary, with songs inserted without organic flow. Background score is generic. Cinematography is uninspiring, editing is lacklustre.

On the whole, Zero Se Restart fails both as entertainment and as inspiration. Its box-office prospects are virtually nil.
