ree

The action-family drama Thalapathy Is The G.O.A.T., dubbed from the Tamil film G.O.A.T.; UA, was produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram and AGS Entertainment (P.) Ltd.

Gandhi (Vijay), Sunil (Prashanth), Kalyan (Prabhudeva), and Ajay (Ajmal Ameer) are all members of the Special Anti-Terrorism Squad (SATS) in Kenya. They apprehend Menon (Mohan), their previous leader, who was fugitive after being accused of treason in 2008. Menon and his family are traveling by train when they blow it up, but first they take the stolen uranium from him. The squad currently lives covertly in Delhi, believing him dead. Gandhi lives with his wife, Anu (Sneha Prasanna), and their kid, Jeevan (Akhil), who is five years old. Their second kid is on the way, and Anu is expecting.

Gandhi is on a mission and brings his family to Bangkok. However, they lose their son in an assault, and Anu gives birth to a daughter. Gandhi sees a burnt corpse and assumes Son Jeevan is dead. Gandhi is inconsolable. Anu and Gandhi have been living apart in Madras for years because Anu cannot forgive Gandhi. Although she lives with Anu, Jeevitha (Abyuktha Manikandan), the daughter, nevertheless has a deep affection for her father. Gandhi is asked to go to Moscow in 2024 to teach new officials in the restored Indian Embassy by his old employer, Naseer (Jayaram). After 16 years, Gandhi is astonished to find Jeevan there. Anu forgives her husband, and Gandhi returns to Madras with his son Jeevan. Naseer is soon murdered by an unidentified guy.

In the meanwhile, Jeevan's past is made public. After rescuing Jeevan from the train tragedy, Menon gained his confidence by rearing him as his own son, whom he named Sanjay. Because of Menon's schemes and manipulations, he had instilled in Jeevan/Sanjay such a strong dislike for Gandhi that, naturally, Jeevan/Sanjay is on a mission to destroy or murder his own biological father, Gandhi. Menon visits Madras personally.

When Gandhi finds out that his son, Jeevan/Sanjay, is hankering for his blood, he is horrified. There are more surprises. What ultimately occurs?

The audience will like Venkat Prabhu's masala narrative since it has so many twists and turns. With Vijay playing both Gandhi and Jeevan/Sanjay, there will be a lot of excitement. Venkat Prabhu, Ezhilarasu Gunasekaran, K. Chandru, and Manivannan Balasubramaniyam wrote the script, which moves so quickly that it doesn't allow the viewer time to reflect. Even some irrational turns and certain mind-numbing action sequences don't detract from the audience's pleasure of the drama since it is so captivating. Despite being stretched out, the finale is excellent. It has a number of suspenseful scenes. The sequences in which Gandhi confronts Jeevan/Sanjay after realizing that Jeevan is trying to get vengeance on Menon are remarkable. Many of the dialogues (by Venkat Prabhu, M. Prasad Babu, and Riya Mukherji) are clapworthy and excellent.

In the dual part, Vijay bears the weight of the movie. He excels in the roles of Jeevan/Sanjay and Gandhi. He is so charming that he would have the crowd licking his hand when he performs for the gallery. As always, his dances are just too amazing. As Sunil, Prashanth is superb. In the position of Kalyan, Prabhudeva provides respectable assistance. As Ajay, Ajmal Ameer leaves his stamp. In the part of Menon, Gandhi's former employer, Mohan is threatening. As Naseer, Jayaram provides excellent assistance. Sneha Prasanna plays the part of Anu with grace and beauty. As Srinidhi, Meenakshi Chaudhary is a natural. She also has a lovely appearance. As Diamond Babu, Yogi Babu is entertaining. In the role of Gandhi's brother-in-law, Seenu, Premgi Amaren leaves a lasting impression. As Jeevitha Gandhi, Abyuktha Manikandan has her moments. As little Jeevan, Akhil can hold his own. Support is provided by Laila (who plays Sunil's wife), Vaibhav (who plays Sha), Subbu Panchu (who plays Rajendran), VTV Ganesh (who plays Raghavan), Yugendran (who plays Abdul), Parvati Nair (who plays a junior SATS officer), Aravind Akash (who plays Aravind), Ajay Raj (who plays Ajay), Kaniha (who plays Menon's wife), Y.G. Mahendran (who makes a cameo appearance as a RAW officer), Sivakarthikeyan (who plays himself), Komal Sharma, Anjena Kirti, Dileepan, Ganja Karuppu, T. Siva, and Irfan Zaini. In a song-dance performance, Trisha Krishnan is amazing. Others are sufficient.

The directing by Venkat Prabhu is excellent. For the general public and family audience, his narration offers fantastic pleasure. The music of Yuvan Shankar Raja is very attractive. The lyrics by Vignesh Ramakrishna, Madhan Karky, Kabilan Vairamuthu, Vivek, and Gangai Amaren are good. The dances are beautiful, and the song picturizations by Raju Sundaram, Sekhar V.J., and Sathish Krishnan are superb. Yuvan Shankar Raja's background music greatly heightens the scenes' impact. The cinematography in Siddhartha Nuni is superb. The action and acrobatics performed by Dhilip Subharayan are quite exciting. Special recognition should be given to B. Sekar and Surya Rajeevan's art direction and Rajeevan's production design. The editing of Venkat Raajen is quite precise. The dubbing is excellent.

On the whole, Thalapathy Is The G.O.A.T. is a box-office winner. It will click with the public because it has tremendous entertainment value. The first (Tamil) edition will turn out to be a huge success.
