The Ova (Marathi) Review

ree

The Ova (Marathi) from Saveena Creation tells the tale of a middle-aged couple whose relationship is sour. The slightest of problems become so prevalent that a stage opens up when the lady quits her house and spouse. Their kid does not live with them as it is due of the occasional arguments.

Both of Shrikant Bojewar's narrative and screenplay lack adequate interest for the viewer. More than anything else, the drama of the dysfunctional family makes viewers depressed. It certainly does not thrill them. The weak drama cannot be compensated for even by Shrikant Bojewar's lines.

Makarand Anaspure does like Gopal Desai does. In the part of his wife Radha, Mitalee Jagtap is really charming. As Mohan, Harshad Shinde is okay. Prithvi Anand gives Rama just assistance. Others perform as expected.

The direction of Swatantra (Savi) Goel is less sensitive than it could have been. The music of Arvind Sagole is regular. The words of Shrikant Bojewar are not any better than the music. The background music of Venkat is decent. The cameras of Raja Phadtare are passable. The art direction of Giridhar Chandra and Ajay Mandal does not merit specific notice. Editing by Manoj Sankla leaves much to be desired.

Ova is often not very class-appealing for clicking at the turnstiles.
