Theme song strikes all the right chords
Young Sheldon's theme song is a track titled "Mighty Little Man," written by Steve Burns of the Blue's Clues fame, which resonates with the essence of the show. His first album, Songs for Dustmites, was released in 2003, and Mighty Little Man is the opening track of his debut album. The lyrics, which include lines like "A sudden crash, a sonic boom/Changes everything he knew," could be about a scientist or a superhero – something that Sheldon, young or old, would definitely approve of. Interestingly, Burns has also appeared in a few episodes of Young Sheldon as a Trekkie named Nathan.
What can fans expect in the upcoming season 7?
Season Seven of Young Sheldon has picked up where the previous season left off. At the close of Season Six, Sheldon and his mother, Mary, were boarding a plane to Germany, where Sheldon was scheduled to spend the summer. Meanwhile, a tornado demolishes Meemaw’s house back in Medford, Texas. The first episode of season 7, titled "A Weiner Schnitzel and Underwear in a Tree," thrusts Sheldon and his mother, Mary, into a dilemma following the unfortunate tornado. While Mary and Sheldon are in Germany, their families grapple with the aftermath of the disaster. Now, audiences are excited to see where the upcoming episodes will take the characters and how the creators will give them a fitting end with the conclusion of the series.
Will there be more spinoffs from The Big Bang Theory franchise after Young Sheldon?
While Young Sheldon did have the success of its predecessor as a good head-start, the series gained a dedicated fan-base on its own. Through a heartwarming storyline and lovable characters, fans fell in love with Young Sheldon all on their own. Keeping in account the success that this The Big Bang Theory spinoff received, fans are now speculating if any other characters will have their unique spin offs made (A young version of Leonard, or Harvard would be hilarious to witness!). Fortunately for fans, The Big Bang Theory co-creator Chuck Lorre is currently in the early stages of one. In a November interview, Lorre said the show was still in the early stages of development.
The seventh and final season of Young Sheldon is already streaming with three episodes. The sitcom started streaming on Prime Video shortly after its television premiere on February 15.
