A REVIEW OF A WEDDING STORY

ree

A Wedding Story (UA), produced by Boundless Blackbuck Films, is a horror movie.

Priti (Mukti Mohan) and Vikram (Vaibhav Tatwawadi) are getting married, but odd things start occurring on the farmhouse where the festivities are taking place. Vikram's father, his uncle, two cousins, and himself all pass away one after the other. It comes out that the reason for the many fatalities is because Tarun (Lakshvir Singh Saran), Vikram's biological cousin, refused to perform certain rites after the death of his father.

The audience is not frightened by Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee's narrative because it is so unremarkable. His writing is devoid of the shivers and thrills that are essential to a horror drama. Because there aren't any opportunities to shudder, scream, yell, or simply feel afraid, viewers don't feel like they're part of the drama that is playing out. The dialogues of Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee are mediocre.

Like Vikram, Vaibhav Tatwawadi is mediocre. He doesn't seem to be a hero from a Hindi movie. As Priti, Mukti Mohan is fine. As Vipul Nain, Vikram's father, Akshay Anand provides mediocre assistance. As Neha Nain, Vikram's paternal cousin, Monica Chaudhary is doing well. In the short part of Tarun Nain, Lakshvir Singh Saran plays an average character. As tiny Twinkle, Urvi Upadhyay is doing well. In a little part as Vikram's uncle Vasudev Nain, Saad Baba hardly makes an impression. It is hardly worth mentioning Jitendra (as Varun Nain). Rajoshi Vidyarthi's portrayal of Sweety Bhardwaj, Priti's mother, is just mediocre. As Priti's grandmother, Plom Khurana often provides assistance. Prateek Pachauri (as the cremation helper), Krishnakant Bundela (as the pandit), and Sanjay Kota (as Tyagi) are all quite typical.

The guidance of Abhinav Pareek is inadequate. His narration doesn't do anything to keep the audience interested. Rahi Sayed's and Tallz & Sucheta Bhattacharjee's song and background music are scarcely noteworthy. The lyrics by Devendra Ahirwar, Tripurari Kumar Sharma, and Rahi Sayed are mediocre. The cinematography in Supratim Bhol is mediocre. Ratan Suryawanshi and Sukanta Panigrahy's production design is mediocre. Something is lacking in Ranendu Ranjan's editing.

Overall, A Wedding Story is neither thrilling nor entertaining. As a result, it will be a box office failure.
