Shri Ganesha is a tale of strained father-son dynamics.

Tiklya (Prathamesh Parab) resents his father Bhausaheb Patil (Shashank Shende) for sending him to a remand home after he was caught stealing from their house. When Tiklya is released, Bhausaheb insists on taking him home since his mother (Anjali Jogalekar) is critically ill. During their journey to Konkan, they meet Deepali (Megha Shinde), who temporarily joins them. Tiklya also confronts his ex-girlfriend Sangi (Srishti Malwande), who has moved on with another man. These encounters gradually reshape Tiklya’s perspective and his relationship with his father.

Milind Kavde’s story and screenplay are predictable, with only a few engaging moments. While it tries to balance romance and family drama, the emotional depth is lacking. Sanjay Navgire’s dialogues occasionally shine but are inconsistent.

Performances:

  • Prathamesh Parab fits well as Tiklya and carries the emotional arc.

  • Shashank Shende is compelling as the strict yet caring father.

  • Megha Shinde and Sanjay Narvekar offer fair support.

  • Others in the cast are average.

Technical Aspects:Direction by Milind Kavde is uneven. Varun Likhate’s music has one good title track; the rest is forgettable. The cinematography (Hazrat Sheikh Wali) is neat, and the editing (Guru Patil) is sharp, helping the narrative. Art design is adequate.

Verdict: Shri Ganesha is a watchable but ordinary family drama with limited box-office appeal.
