PHULLWANTI’ (MARATHI) REVIEW

ree

In the film Phullwanti (Marathi), which was produced by Panorama Studios, Mangesh Pawar & Company, and Shivoham Creations Pvt. Ltd., the protagonist is a well-known dancer named Phullwanti who travels to Pune in order to perform before the court of the Peshwa. An insulting remark made by Venkat Shastri, a scholar of the court, detracts from the overall quality of her performance. He is confronted by Phullwanti, who is enraged and fiercely motivated to pursue justice. The scene is then prepared for a contest between artistic ability and intellectual capacity. Who ends up becoming the victor?

It is based on Baba Purandare's book of the same name, which is the source of the plot. The tale is captivating, and it manages to maintain the audience's attention throughout. The script written by Pravin Vitthal Tarde is satisfactory, but it fails to maintain the audience's interest throughout the whole film. There are parts of the drama that seem to be dragged out as much as possible. In addition, there are many instances in which boredom sets in because the script does not include any diversions. They are apparent by their absence, both in terms of light moments and feelings. The conversations that Pravin Vitthal Tarde creates are quite enjoyable.

Regarding the role of Phullwanti, Prajakta Mali did an excellent job. The dances that she does are quite exquisite. Gashmeer Mahajani does an excellent job portraying Venkat Shastri in the part. When it comes to Laxmi, Snehal Tarde is fine. During his role as Martand Bhairavacharya, Vaibhav Mangale provides enough assistance. Regarding Shrikant Sawai Madhavrao Peshwa, Kshitish Date is a suitable substitute. When it comes to Peshawinbai, Deepti Lele is fine. In his performance as Bakhare Sarkar Naik, Prasad Oak does a decent job. The humorous interludes that Hrishikesh Joshi performs as Pant Chitnis have made him a name for himself. In the role of Nana Fadnavis, Sunil Abhyankar is about average. Bayja is portrayed really nicely by Nikhil Raut. To be known as Minakshi Devi, Chinmayee Sumeet creates an impression. In her role as Ragini Devi, Sukhada Khandkekar offers assistance that is about average. According to Avanti Devi, Vibhawari Deshpande is around average. When it comes to Badshah, Mir Sarvar provides average assistance. At the same level as Subhedar Mankar, Mangesh Desai is mediocre. Savita Malpekar, who plays the role of Radhakka, Jaywant Wadkar, who plays Vitthoba, Samir Choughule, who plays Wamanrao, Vanita Kharat, Gaurav More, Chetana Bhat, Prithvik Pratap, who plays Chimanrao, Rohit Mane, Siddheshwar Zadbukke, who plays Anand Shastri, and Vijay Patwardhan, who plays Narayan, are all acceptable.

Despite the fact that Snehal Pravin Tarde's directing is good, the drama lacks any elements that would make it engaging. The music that Avinash-Vishwajeet creates is quite engaging. The dance that Umesh Jadhav has created is captivating. Cinematography by Mahesh Limaye is of high quality. The art direction that Eknath Kadam has done is of a very high quality. It might be said that Mayur Hardas' editing is rather crisp.

Overall, Phullwanti may be a picture that is very well-made and has strong performances; but, its box-office prospects are not particularly impressive. This is due to the fact that it is not a typical masala film, which is the kind of film that the audience that watches Marathi films like seeing.
