DOUBLE ISMART’ (DUBBED) REVIEW

ree

Ismart Shankar (Telugu) was followed by Puri Connects and Sangeeta Ahir Moviez's Double Ismart (dubbed from the Telugu film of the same name; A).

A police inspector's memory is already present in Shankar's (Ram Pothineni) brain. Since Big Bull (Sanjay Dutt) is going to die, he wants to keep his memory in Shankar's brain so that he can finish his unfinished business of splitting India in two. However, Shankar has a grievance against Big Bull. What ultimately occurs? Does Big Bull make it out alive? Is his evil scheme carried out?

The plot and script of Puri Jagannadh aren't captivating enough to hold the audience's attention. Since Big Bull is aware that he won't live for more than a few months, the audience questions why he would go to the trouble of moving his memory. Viewers are not impressed by the drama's latter scenes, in which Shankar wants retribution and CBI officer Parmeshwaran (Sayaji Shinde) divulges his scheme with Shankar. Overall, Puri Jagannadh's plot and script fall flat since they look a little strange. Feelings are boring. Comedy irritates me. The audience are not captivated by the scenes of Shankar and Big Bull fighting. Rajendra Sapre's dialogue is mediocre.

Ram Pothineni does a superb job as Shankar. As Jannat, Shankar's girlfriend, Kavya Thapar is doing OK. Big Bull is as fair as Sanjay Dutt. As Thomas, the neuroscientist, Makarand Deshpande is fine. As Parmeshwaran, a CBI official, Sayaji Shinde is fine. As Big Bull's go-to henchwoman, Bani J. makes an impression. As Durga Devi, Shankar's mother, Jhansi is fine. Ali's humor irritates me for more reasons than just the fact that it seems forced and has no bearing on the plot. Regular assistance is provided by Getup Srinu (who plays Shankar's friend), Pragathi, Ganesh Yadav (who plays police inspector Ashok), Uttej, and Ajay Dhansu (who plays the RAW officer). Others are deemed acceptable.

The direction of Puri Jagannadh is mediocre. The music of Mani Sharma is useful. Mohsin Shaikh and Raqib Alam's lyrics aren't particularly noteworthy. The song picturizations (by Vijay Polaki, Jani, and Shobi) are good. The background music for Mani Sharma doesn't have much of an effect. The camera work (by Shyam K. Naidu and Gianni Giannelli) is excellent. It's exciting to watch the action and stunt scenes (performed by Kecha Khamphakdee, Real Satish, and Stunt Jashuva). The editing by Karthika Srinivas should have been more precise. Dubbing is appropriate.

Overall, Double Ismart is too unremarkable to have a significant impact at the box office.
