Story & Screenplay

The third film in the HIT franchise follows SP Arjun Sarkar (Nani), summoned to Srinagar to probe a gruesome murder. He soon uncovers that similar killings are being carried out nationwide by a network of psychopaths who record their murders and upload them online. Disguising himself as one of them, Arjun infiltrates their dark circle by posting videos of his own “kills” only to set up a deadly showdown.

Writer-director Sailesh Kolanu crafts an engaging story that’s both grisly and gripping. The screenplay is taut, relentless, and packed with action. The pace rarely dips, and Arjun’s character a fearless, uncompromising cop is sketched with grit and charisma. Dialogues by G.V. Subhash and Neerja Mathur are impactful and add to the thrill.

Performances

  • Nani is outstanding as Arjun Sarkar, carrying the film on his shoulders with intensity and conviction.

  • Srinidhi Shetty is adequate as the love interest, though underutilized.

  • Komalee Prasad (ASP Varsha) and Surya Srinivas (ASP Ravi) deliver fair performances.

  • Rao Ramesh impresses as DGP Nageswara Rao.

  • Samuthirakani is effective in a small role as Arjun’s father.

  • Prateik Babbar (as Alpha) is passable but not remarkable.

  • Cameos: Maganti Srinath, Adivi Sesh, and Karthi add value and connect the wider HIT cinematic universe.

Supporting cast members Ravindra Vijay, Adil Pala, Amit Sharma, among others, do their parts sincerely.

Direction

Sailesh Kolanu handles the narrative with expertise. His direction is slick, stylish, and uncompromisingly dark. The tension is well-sustained, and the climax feels both satisfying and brutal, befitting the HIT franchise.

Music & Technical Aspects

  • Songs (Mickey J. Meyer, lyrics by Manoj Yadav) are ordinary and add little value.

  • Background score by Mickey J. Meyer, however, is excellent and heightens the tension dramatically.

  • Cinematography (Sanu John Varghese) is superb, giving the film a polished, atmospheric look.

  • Action & Stunts (Lee Whittaker, Real Sathish) are slick, raw, and thrilling — a big asset.

  • Production Design (Srinagendra Tangala) is apt.

  • Editing (Karthika Srinivas) is razor-sharp, keeping the narrative lean.

  • Dubbing is top-notch.

Final Verdict

Hit: The Third Case is a gripping thriller, powered by Nani’s stellar performance and pulsating action. Though the songs don’t leave a mark, the film more than makes up for it with pace, tension, and a rewarding climax.

Box Office: Has the potential to score well among multiplex audiences and action-thriller fans.
